Soft
Trekking, Cycling with Lunch in the Village and Puppet
Show
This
program will give visitors to Bali the pleasure of interacting
with Balinese people as they go about their daily activities,
as they take a leisurely trip through the rural east
part of Bali, the ideal way to see this tropical island
as it really is. This tour will give the visitors something
different that they will never find on other tours.
Guests will walk for about three kilometers passing
Timbrah village and a temple. Guests continue to walk
passing a river bank, where they will see the people
who work to collect stone and sand for building, then
cross a small river and walk for about one more kilometer
before arriving at the finish point for the trekking
under a bamboo tree.
This
is the starting point for the cycling portion of the
tour. The trip is approximately six kilometers (one
hour), passing local houses and rice fields where local
people will be working, tending their rice and vegetables
(including chili, onion, and peanuts, dependent on season).
Also they will visit a traditional house (pande) to
see the process of making knifes, machetes and taji
(a piece equipment for cock-fighting). Continuing the
trip for around five minutes, they will arrive at the
fish pond for a welcome drink, Balinese lunch and a
puppet show. After lunch, on the way back to the hotel,
they can stop in Klungkung (Kertagosa, Ancient court
of justice)
