                | Bali art troupe
                    to perform in “Roskilde Festival”

                    Bali’s
art troupe is given an honor and special place to participate
in “Roskilde Festival”, to be taking place in
Denmark and Norway from June 29 to July 13, 2005.
The trust was not only to cheer up the international level
festival’s opening, but also to perform every night,
said I Ketut Mulyadi SSN, the supervisor of Sanggar Tari Dwi
Mekar Studio (a dance studio) Banyuning, Buleleng, that received
                    the honor, recently.
Thus, he said further that the Bali’s art troupe with
27 members would perform 15 times during their tours two the
two countries. “The schedule is tight, no time to rest,”
Mulyadi who is also part of the team said.

The troupe will depart Bali to the Scandinavian countries
next June 24 and it was a second departure. The leader of
Sanggar Tari Dwi Mekar, I Nyoman Durpa with his wife who is
also a dancer and another artist of Balinese traditional music
had set off earlier for the countries, last 15 April, in line
to performances in some European cities.
Mulyadi explained that despite the tight schedule for the
tours to Denmark and Norway, but he also would set aside some
of his time to visit the countries’ tourists objects,
similar to foreign travelers to Bali.

“We should use an opportunity as well as we can as deliberately
coming for Bali’s artists as foreign travelers to the
countries is most likely impossible. Such a journey needs
fat wallets,” he told during his preparation to the
                    Viking countries.
During its tours, the Bali’s art troupe is going to
present traditional dances that are blended with dances of
new creations with each performance will last for two hours.
